Choose how attendees participate. Examples: Text for Q&A chat, Audio for a spoken panel, Video for an on-camera event.

Room end time Replaces the countdown timer with a specific end date and time, interpreted in your browser's local timezone. The event ends and purges automatically once this time passes.

Video hero playback

Playback applies instantly for everyone currently viewing, and for anyone who joins afterward. Only direct video file links are supported (not YouTube/Vimeo embeds).

Spam threshold Moderate How readily repetitive or promotional messages are held for review. Low is stricter; high only flags more obvious spam.

Language filter Moderate How sensitive the filter is to offensive language. Low flags only stronger signals; high flags any detected signal.

Flood protection Moderate Messages allowed per 10 seconds: Low 8, Moderate 5, High 3.

Allow links in chatWhen enabled, attendees may post URLs. Example: https://example.com.

Danger zone: End event

Ending the event disconnects everyone and permanently purges its temporary room data.

IDENTITY PROVIDERS

Single sign-on

Provider connection details are saved to database; client secrets are encrypted at rest and blank secret inputs keep the current secret.

Set SSO_CONFIG_ENCRYPTION_KEY on the server before saving SSO settings.

Google group mappings require the server's identity (an attached/native service account, or an impersonated service account via Application Default Credentials) to be authorized for Workspace domain-wide delegation with the read-only Admin SDK group-member scope, hold roles/iam.serviceAccountTokenCreator on itself, and a delegated admin email below. Lookups fail closed until configured.

Changes are validated, saved to database, and applied by the running server immediately, without a redeploy.

Role assignments

Enter exact email/subject IDs and group values as comma-separated lists. Admin mappings take precedence; unmatched identities default to Moderator. Local staff roles apply across this deployment.
